How To Invest Like A Girl And Beat The Pants Off The Guys

You know the deck is stacked against you statistically:

  • You’ll live longer on less money than your mate

  • You’ll get paid less than your male peers for the same work

  • You’ll set your career back if you take time off for family

  • Banks and financiers will hesitate to back your business

  • You’ll be trapped under a glass ceiling.

So you plan accordingly.

You don’t succumb to FOMO. You don’t care what other people are bragging (or lying) about in their portfolios.

You know YOLO, so you invest in setting yourself up for life. You choose the life you want to live. Money is neither demon nor savior.

You “set it and forget it.” You have an investment plan, sock away money you don’t need to live on, and don’t watch every twitch in stock prices. You review your portfolio at set intervals.

You understand that turnover leads to taxation, which clips returns.

You know that excess turnover erodes returns.

You believe that polite compounding is superior to frenetic trading.

You know you’re paying one way or the other, even if it’s “free” to you.

You believe in taking calculated risks.

You separate process from outcome. A disciplined, consistent process creates returns. Which approach matters less.

You don’t take the market personally. You don’t fall in love with your positions.

You don’t root for your investments as if they were a sports team.

You understand that leverage works both ways.

Your stock holdings do not create your identity.
